SCORM content sync from external LMS to learning development module fails with 500 error

We’re implementing SCORM package synchronization from our third-party LMS (Cornerstone) to Oracle HCM Cloud ohcm-23c learning development module. The integration works for small content packages but fails with 500 Internal Server Error for larger SCORM files.

Our current REST API call handles SCORM package payload but we’re hitting issues with API timeout configuration and batch processing strategy. Learning administrator privileges are properly configured but we’re not sure if there are payload size limits we’re missing.

The 120-second timeout is also problematic for large files. Check your middleware configuration - you might need to adjust both the API gateway timeout and the Oracle HCM Cloud connection timeout settings. In our environment, we increased it to 300 seconds for learning content operations. Also verify that your learning administrator role has the ‘Import Learning Content’ privilege enabled in the security console. Without that specific privilege, large package imports can fail silently or with generic 500 errors.
